Jessica Awerman, M.D.

Dr. Jessica Awerman graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University with a degree in Biology with Highest Honors in Research. She then attended Tufts University School of Medicine for her M.D. where she graduated with research honors and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic achievement and Honos Civicus Medical Society for her community service involvement. Dr. Awerman completed her internship at Newton Wellesley Hospital, working in a transitional year program that gave her experience in both Internal Medicine and Surgery. She completed her first year of dermatology residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, before transferring home to Tufts Medical Center to complete her residency.

Prior to joining Massachusetts Dermatology Associates, she worked as a dermatologist in Brockton and North Andover. Dr. Awerman is a board-certified dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has published more than 10 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented her research at national meetings.

Her primary clinical interests include skin cancer screening, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and surgical excisions of benign and malignant lesions.
