Meet Dr. Margaret Wat!

We are delighted to introduce the newest member of our team at Massachusetts Dermatology Associates in Beverly, MA—Dr. Margaret Wat!

From the moment you meet Dr. Wat, you’ll notice her thoughtful, approachable manner. She believes that every patient’s story matters and takes pride in tailoring care to each individual’s needs. Whether she’s performing a skin cancer screening, helping a teenager navigate the challenges of acne, or supporting someone managing a chronic condition like psoriasis or eczema, her goal is always the same: to listen closely and provide the best possible treatment plan.

Dr. Wat’s path to dermatology has been marked by a love of science, a commitment to patient care, and a drive for excellence. After graduating summa cum laude from Duke University with dual degrees in Chemistry and Biology, she earned her M.D./Ph.D. at Baylor College of Medicine, where her research was funded by the prestigious NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein award. She went on to complete her dermatology residency at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Pennsylvania, training alongside some of the most respected experts in the field.

Dr. Wat is board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, and she has published numerous articles and presented her work nationally and internationally. But what truly defines her practice is her commitment to seeing the whole person, not just the condition. She loves forming long-term relationships with patients and guiding them through every stage of their skin health journey.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wat enjoys time with family and friends, tending to her garden, diving into a good book, or exploring her love of art. These interests bring balance and creativity to her life, and we believe they shine through in the compassion and perspective she brings to patient care.
