R. Matthew McLarney, M.D.
Dr. R. Matthew McLarney was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts. He attended Wesleyan University, where he majored in economics, rowed on the varsity crew team, and hosted a bluegrass radio show. After college he taught middle school and high school mathematics for several years in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley.
Dr. McLarney graduated first in his class from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society during his third year of medical school. He completed his internship at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center and served as Chief Resident in Dermatology at Cooper University Hospital. During his residency, he published several textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles on a variety of topics in adult and pediatric dermatology.
Dr. McLarney loves treating patients of all ages with a full spectrum of dermatologic concerns, using both medical and surgical modalities. He learns about each of his patients and provides individualized treatments tailored to their lifestyle and preferences.
In his spare time, Dr. McLarney enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and traveling.
