Margaret Bruns, M.D.
Dr. Margaret Bruns was born and raised in Lake Placid, NY. She attended Cornell University, where she graduated with honors from the College of Human Ecology. She subsequently attained her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her internship at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her residency in dermatology at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Bruns is a board-certified dermatologist and member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has co-authored publications and presented at dermatology conferences on a wide range of topics, including eczema, lichen sclerosus, syringomas and calcinosis cutis. During residency, she completed a preceptorship in aesthetic medicine through the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Bruns specializes in eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea, as well as addressing cosmetic concerns with neuromodulators. She is particularly interested in melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer screening and surgical treatment of skin cancers. Outside of clinic, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
